Simply Wood… Turning 30.
It all began 45 years ago when I started my apprenticeship in wood machining at A K Verity Ltd in Great Blakenham and my journey began in mastering the art of furniture making. Working with wood from its raw state and transforming it into a beautiful piece of furniture has been a satisfying skill that I have carried through the years adapting to changing times. I have made everything from tables and chairs to sideboards and dressers and now more recently, Kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, shop fittings, offices, media centres and even bars.
Having set up my own business a few years later, bespoke furniture was in demand until mass produced furniture became more available to customers. Business continued but made a diversion towards fitted cabinetry in the form of kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms etc. and Simply Wood (East) was born, 30 years ago. I have to say that I am still learning and will never “master” the art of woodworking, but I learn something new every day, and that is a pleasure in itself.
We work with the latest software to help produce plans efficiently and to provide our customers with a realistic rendered image to show how their room will look. Materials, colours and trends change but the basis remains the same - We have the technology, equipment, knowledge and skill to make a product of superior quality to suit your individual space and style.
Patrick is the Manufacturing Director within Simply Wood and takes great pride and skill to ensure that everything is made to the highest standard and the finished units are assembled complete and ready for delivery.
